Great view, wonderful seafood, great experience and staff. Loved the ambiance - it was a little difficult to find, but well worth the effort. Loved the She Crab Bisque!! Calamari Fries ware delicious and my husband loved the wet aged rib eye! I had the scallops and they were very good, nice size, and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back. For those of us in the Midwest who have a hard time finding fresh, good seafood, this is a real treat!!

The Atlantic Grille has the best views of any restaurant in the area. Directly on the beach, guests can choose to sit outside in the ocean breeze or inside in the dining room which is classy, but still comfortable. I've had wonderful experiences here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast is an amazing value (prices compare to any chain-breakfast restaurant) and it's great to sit outside and watch the Atlantic and the golfers coming in on the 18th hole of The Ocean Course. My family and I have also had Christmas Eve dinner there on two occasions, both of which were wonderful- the food and service were excellent, creating memorable experiences.

Outrageous view of ocean from your table, you can hear the waves! Had both dinner & lunch here, lunch wins. Nice menu if you like to eat light. Good presentation, bar is OK....you can eat outside on Deck as well. If you don't live in area; could be hard to find. Great looking location & building, can walk on beach close to restaurant access. Also good wine list. Upscale location. Could be romantic meeting place, or good place to make-up for not being romantic!

Well worth the trip (not easy to find) part of golf course and there is no sign. Great views out over the ocean and the food was very, very good. And surprisingly reasonable. I had a marvelous creole soup, spicy as advertised and grouper, over homemade spaetzle. Callto reserve table with ocean view. No cash, only credit card. Really worth it, about 5 minutes from toll bridge, park by pro shop and walk up.

We ate there while staying at the resort. Unbelievably fresh seafood, great wine list and outstanding service. Flawless dinner for six. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fresh, clean meal.

Had breakfast here it was OK. Had the French toast it was 12$ pretty expensive for French toast. I can see why most of the people at resort don't eat at the resort they would go broke!!

Just ate here for lunch, and it was quite good. It's a big resort/golf course restaurant, so I was expecting the worst. However, the service was excellent, the food was not unusual but all was fresh, well/prepared and hot (or chilled in the case of the salads). Nice view, of course, small but decent wine list, and an overall nice, no stress place. I'd certainly come back.

We ate at this place two days in a row while staying at Hammock Beach Resort. Dinner was spectacular and breakfast was even better! I highly recommend the macadamia nut French toast! I had dreams of if the next day! Prices are high but are expected at a resort.

A nice place right on the water. The salad was fresh and the red snapper was ok, as it was a bit overcooked I thought. Loved the service and the desert was a flourless chocolate cake which combined with the vanilla ice cream was just wonderful.

One of our favorite oceanfront restaurants. Reservations are an absolute must as it's almost always booked. This is a restaurant on the same property as the Hammock Beach Resort - a hotel / condo complex with golf, a pool, etc - so expect to see a variety of groups here from golfers to families to business diners. But reservations are open to the public. They have a special menu for club members, and a regular menu as well. They always have a fresh fish selection - almost always caught locally. The Caleb bisque is outstanding. They have a full bar and a decent wine list. Kid friendly because of the nearby hotel. Kid menu has standard kid choices. They also have a flexible chef and kitchen so you can adapt a dish if you have special needs or requirements. In the late spring and early summer the outdoor dining is great - you are directly on the ocean, on a bluff overlooking the sea. This complex is renovating and I'm told this restaurant will be torn down with the rest of this building and replaced with a new and even nicer facility - but the timeline for tear down is unknown. Better get here quick. Definitely order the crab bisque.

To start off, the view is to die for. My girlfriend and I went there for her birthday and as we were eating dinner we were able to see dolphins right off the shore. How is that for birthday surprise?!? The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly, presented himself well, but became scarce as the meal progressed. Refills Please!! So onto the food. The dinner menu is very limited. I ordered the chicken ($28), however they were out. I ended up getting the boneless ribs ($32). These were very good, but the sides were only ok. They meals come stock with pre-determined sides and I wasn't a huge fan of the mushroom puree that is came with. My girlfriend got the fish ($36) and it was good, again, she wasn't a huge fan of the sides. I ordered a beer with dinner and she got a diet coke, they took a while to come out, When my beer came out it was not very cold. I didn't complain because I was thirsty. Regardless I had a few more beers during dinner and again those were also served not very cold. My girlfriend switched to mango mojitos ($11). They were very good just a bit pricey. As an FYI, they do not allow men to wear hats during the dinner service. All in all it was good. We might be back again. The view is great, the food is good, the drinks were warm. And for $132 bill (before tip) I think we are going to try somewhere else.

The Atlantic Ocean and golf course view here is so fantastic that it's hard not to have a good time and enjoy the afternoon or evening. They have a real nice bar area as well as dining area which overlooks the crashing waves in the Atlantic Ocean. I have a good wine selection and good service.

The service was great, but the food did NOT live up to that. Nathan was our server and he was very nice. Though, my wife did not finish her dinner and he did not ask why. I started with the wedge salad. It was like the grand parents version with the cheddar cheese and bland dressing. It was strange and I have had much better. I got the chicken breast. Both the chicken and the potatoes tasted like tap water. I assumed they were soaking in that early. The chicken was soft underneath, but charred on top and the water taste made it mediocre. Her pasta hardly had any lobster or shrimp. It was all pasta and over sauced. Not to be mean, but it's like cafeteria food. For the price, it's just not worth it and you guys really need work on it. Your wine selection needs work. After our experience, we were not even going to try dessert, though I had a latte at the end of dinner and that needs work. Do you really just want to be plain old hotel food? You guys can do better!

The food is pretty standard, nothing special. But a big part of eating at a restaurant is the experience and ours was pretty bad. We don't have a lot of money to throw around so it is a big deal for us when we choose to go to an expensive restaurant. Tonight we headed down there from our hotel room above the restaurant. We asked for a table outside but when we sat down, a huge bolt of lightning in the distance made us jump and I asked that we go inside instead. The waitresses went in to ask where we could move to and then the hostess, I wish I had a picture of her for you, came out and told us that there were no tables left. There were about 10 free tables in there but my husband suggested when he saw my confusion, that they probably were all being held for reservations. The waitress then suggested that the storm would pass and hopefully it will go the other way, or she could call another restaurant for us to see if they had a spot open. I told her we would just stay and see how it went. So the waiter took our order, they do not accommodate gluten intolerance by the way. Then the rain came and the cold came and we knew we could not stay outside. No one came out to accommodate us because of the pouring rain. We went in and I just said we were going to go upstairs and to have the food delivered to us via room service. So this is what we did, it was delivered to us. There was no bread that came with the meal like it was supposed to. The food was fairly lackluster, and the check was over hundred dollars. I have to say that the overall experience was pretty darn crummy especially for such an expensive food. I thought the hostess was weirdly rude and I felt very unwelcome. Perhaps you just need to have a reservation, but it was a very lousy experience.

I ate here for lunch and breakfast while staying at Hammock Beach Resort. Lunch: Crab cake sandwich and sweet potatoes fries were yummy! I am a white sangria fan and I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was here. Server was helpful! Breakfast: The New Yorker sounded amazing but was kinda disappointed. Barely any hollandaise sauce so it was dry. The bagel was rubbery. The people I was with got the crescent sandwich, macadamia french toast and breakfast skillet. They all said it pretty good! I would do breakfast here again if I stayed at the Hammock Beach resort again. Service was slow for breakfast. Getting the drinks and checks were painfully long. We sat outside which was really nice with the ocean view! Hope this helps! xoxo -Sam

I just finished a nice meal at Atlantic Grille. Overall this restaurant is probably a 3.5. The hostess Annie was a hoot. Once we were seated though we had to grab Annie again to finally get a server to come over. We get a drink order taken and then another server comes over to take our meal order. Apparently the first one was going home. Our server Rob expressed no interest in taking care of us. He got the job done but was not friendly at all. So service was lousy. I ordered an $11 martini because it sounded cool (spicy) but it wasn't spicy however it tasted nice. Even after I asked to make it have some heat the second time it still didn't. The only reason I gave this restaurant four stars is because the food was universally delicious. Everyone loved their entree. I had scallops and my friends had salmon and chicken. The salad with the strawberries was way too huge for an appetizer but it was absolutely delicious. Creme brûlée was average...good. I hear a lot of good things about this restaurant and it is good...but service definitely lacked on my first visit...but I would go back.

I enjoyed the strobe lights and thumping, repetitive beat until I realized it was the fire alarm. Twice. To top it all off, they do not accept American currency for payment. Seriously, they refused to accept cash for our bill.

They have amazing fresh, local ingredients. The striped bass was deliciously prepared and buttery. I would ask for the lemon scented jasmine rice instead of the sweet potato puree. The puree was just a bit much with this delicate fish. The Chicken Roulade was great, but it was more like a Cordon Bleu, but with a spicy capicola instead of just ham. They have great indoor & outdoor seating & serve breakfast lunch & dinner. Carol (from Wisconsin) was super friendly & efficient as our bartender. This is an upscale dining experience, but not snooty. I'd at least suggest a collared shirt for the gentlemen & a skirt or nice resort wear for the ladies.

Service was great! Matt was our waiter and he did a fantastic job. My husband had the fish special and I had the scallops. The food was fixed to perfection and so was the presentation. We ended with key lime pie which was beautifully presented with blackberries and whip cream. Some of the customers didn't adhere to the dress code which took away somewhat of the elegance of the restaurant.

Went here last night with my husband. The view was great! However, the food was not. I ate about two bites of my lobster and shrimp pasta which was overloaded in creamy pasta sauce. It was way too rich and made it taste kind of gross. Nathan, our waiter took my plate and clearly knew I didn't like it but didn't even ask If I did or if anything was wrong with it, just took it away and charged me full price, which I could only assume was due to the fact that is is off season and not busy so he needed the check at full price. He was extremely nice for service and attentive. However, I couldn't believe as a waiter he didn't even acknowledge that I had not touched my pasta. The blue cheese martini was good but my husbands wine was kid of stale. He had chicken, which was nice but the cauliflower purée and mashed potatoes were a complete disappointment. Not a good mix and no flavor. For what we paid, it was definitely not worth it and next time we stay at Hammock Beach we will go elsewhere to eat. Bummer.

The food is mediocre and overpriced. I visited the restaurant twice in the last month - invited by a friend. Both times I ordered seafood - first time the grouper and second time the scallops. Both times the seafood was way over cooked. Very disappointing! Fine dining is an over statement! $42 for 4 scallops that were like chewing gum- really? Palm Coast deserves better. Next time I am invited to have dinner here, the answer will be NO!

We had lunch here yesterday. The restaurant has a great setting right at the golf course and ocean. I had the crab cake sandwich accompanied by coleslaw, both excellent. It was pricey at $15. My guest had the grilled shrimp salad which was good but had too much dressing. It was also pricey at $18. The food is good but expensive for what you receive. The dinners are very expensive for the area here.

Excellent location no doubt! Maybe my expectations were a little high for this luxury resort at Hammock Beach. I by stopped for an appetizer and had heard about the view. I ordered the flatbread with arugula, blue cheese, sliced pears and pine nuts. The flatbread was the size of an 8 x 11 sheet of paper, uncut. Tough to managed with melted cheese. The pears were thick and mushy. Flatbread almost burnt. Maybe a bad day for the Chef. It has certainly happened to me. None the less, my first impression disappointing. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the view worth the visit. On the way back to my hotel, I noticed a traffic jam at J T Seafood Shack. Sorry I missed dining there.

Awesome food. Just excellent. We're here from NY for some golf & post game drinks, grabbed a table by the bar. Busy Friday evening & everybody was just great, so attentive without being overbearing. The food looked great and tasted even better. Crab soup, Hammock salad, Tuna Martini just delicious. Mahi Mahi & Short Ribs even better. Very very good food. View just lovely.

I don't even want to waste my time writing a review. I have been 3-4 times always trying to give it a chance but the food is always bland and unimpressive. Sometimes I feel chef's try to impress the diners with an elegant plated display and that is all great but the food must taste as good as it looks.

Beautiful spot with great ocean and golf course views. The ideal would be to sit outside, which I saw only a few people do, probably because of the bugginess out there, unfortunately. I'm not sure if they could get some citronella tiki torches (is there such a thing) or something? Otherwise, you're inside pining to be outside. The food was very good by Florida standards. The service was excellent, but as someone else noted, it is almost like they time coming over for exactly when someone is mid-sentence. Its worth checking out, but I'm not dying to go back. Again, I would be if I could sit on the deck. . . .

This was definitely not the worst place I've eaten, but for the money it should have been a LOT better. It was easily 3 times the price of any other place my husband and I ate on our recent trip to Florida, but it was only marginally better. Pros: - Great view of the ocean if you're sitting outside - The she crab bisque is absolutely wonderful - The sunset margarita is awesome (I love passionfruit!) - though it may have given me a stomachache due to all the acidity - The calamari "fries" are really nice - perfectly tender and not at all rubbery like calamari can be. (The sauces were kind of disappointing though.) - The creme brulee was pretty good, though they put so much whipped cream and berries on top that it overwhelmed the crispy sugary crust that makes creme brulee what it is Cons: - Extremely expensive ($25-35 per entree, not including appetizers or drinks) - Our waiter was alright but he seemed kind of annoyed with us the whole time, and he interrupted us when we were talking (in the middle of a sentence!). The busboy and hostess were wonderful though. - The waiter strongly recommended the wahoo as his favorite dish, but I found it mediocre at best. The fish was dry and flavorless. The guacamole on top was good, as was the crispy rice and bean cake it sat on top of... but overall my impression was "meh" - especially for the price! Everyone else seemed to feel similarly about their meals. - As the sun set, it got very dark where we sat (outside). We couldn't see what we were eating! - We were pretty miffed that they automatically added gratuity to the bill, even though we were only a party of 4. It does have a luxury atmosphere -- which is nice if your'e into that kind of thing -- and the view is great, but overall I'd say you're a lot better off going to somewhere more down-home -- somwhere cheaper with less pretentious food and waitstaff.

I thought the food was excellent! Had a wonderful lunch and some of the best sweet potato fries with a curry sauce, FANTASTIC!! I had the fish wrap....it was just OK. We started off with some blue cheese chips, there were very good. Wish it had more melted BC, but still very good. The breakfast also was excellent...they were kinda slow though. But still worth the wait.

Nice atmosphere and the service was decent, but the food was eh. The grouper and mahi we had were cooked nicely, but the sides were boring and lacked flavor and originality - two things I expect when paying well over $30 for fish. The one redeeming dish (and why this review is 3 stars instead of 2) is the share tuna martini appetizer. Do yourself a favor if you go to this restaurant: order a salad as your appetizer and this gorgeous tuna dish as your main course. There is plenty to make this a main course. Oh - and if you are not staying at the resort, you will want to know that the restaurant is upstairs Behind the golf club, maybe 1/4 mile from the main resort entrance. There are no signs so it's hard to find if you haven't been before.

The Atlantic Grille was the restaurant at the resort complex where we were staying in Florida. It's definitely more of an upscale atmosphere - think country club. Very good service and a great menu. Everyone was pleased with their dinners - above average. I wasn't terribly hungry when we went there, so I ordered the appetizer Tuna Martini. They serve it over a bed of seaweed salad in a martini glass. It was probably some of the best ahi tuna I've ever had.

Tucked away in a little town known as Palm Coast, the Hammock Beach Resort has this diamond of a restaurant that members, guests, and local visitors can stop in to enjoy fresh fish and specialized plates at any point in the day. Between the view and the food, Atlantic Grille is a real delight. If you go for brunch, sit outside (or by a window) and enjoy spotting dolphins, golfers, and beach-goers. Definitely try their she-crab soup with the pre-fix meal in the evening. Overall a lovely spot while on vacation or if you live in the area. (The Atlantic Grille wasn't previously opened up to outside visitors but since has changed their protocol. Call ahead if you plan on going.)

We wanted a casual restaurant while staying at Hammock Beach and my sister chose Atlantic Grille, which was quite the opposite of a casual dinner place. It is very formal and the maitre de I recognized from Ruth's Chris in Jacksonville. It is not necessarily a kid friendly place, but they made it so by staging our tables in a less formal section of the dining room. Since my sister's son is autistic and prone to get up and stand in the corner, this was perfect. Then menu had a very nice selection of seafood and some great pork and chicken dishes, with an extensive wine list. We chose a Chateau St. Michele Merlot and salads to start. The Caesar Salad was amazing, although not too plentiful. the house salad was large and according to my daughters, very good. The Lobster Bisque also got very high marks and came in a good size bowl. They also brought six kinds of bread with a unique dish with butter and olive oil. It was a really nice touch. When dinner came, conversation ceased. I had Flounder with potatoes and edamame succotash that was hands down the best I ever had. While the flounder was overwhelmed by the succotash, it was superbly prepared, flaky and moist, just not a lot of flavor. I was simply too full for desert, but the kids deserts that came with their kids meal got high marks. Dinner, with tip will run between $30-45 per person depending on appetizers and wine.

It's a beautiful looking restaurant with a wonderful wine selection and great service...the beet salad was delicious but the entrees were not so impressive. The snapper was pretty bland. I would have given this three stars, except that I came down with food poisoning a couple of hours after eating here!

Sadly disappointed. Our family was staying at the resort last week and decided to make this our last meal before heading home to celebrate a fun vacation. We called at 8:30 and they said they close at 10 and that a reservation was not currently required so I informed them that our party of 5 was on our way. When we arrived, more than half the restaurant was empty and they said they needed to reset a table for us. Not usually an issue, but we stood there for 5 minutes, with the hostess holding our menus, watching as the person slowly set the table. When we were seated, the waitress was prompt and courteous and took our order. My husband got his salad quickly but then 30 minutes went by before we saw any wait staff again. The restaurant cleared out except for us and one table and still no food... Finally what we assume was the manager rushed over apologized that it was taking to long because the garnish on my fish had to be remade! I asked him to please bring everyone else's food as it was getting very late. They rushed out the food, which was not to the caliber at all expected. The steaks were dry and the potatoes looked like they had been sitting out all night. I took a bite of the small garnish of spinach citrus salad on my Mahi and it was inedible, it tasted like it had been brined in warm salt water. I told my husband not to eat his. But that taste was even on his Mahi. He asked the waitress for another plate without the salad on the fish. She rushed to the kitchen but he watched us all eat and then my parents and son were back in the room before he ever got his food. When he did, it was not Mahi. Some other fish and he did not have everything on the plate from the special he ordered. We NEVER saw the manager again. Not for an apology, not to make sure everything was okay. The waitress took my husbands meal off the bill, but it was just all so disappointing. When you pay that kind of money for a dinner at a resort, you just expect more.

Food is ok... Breakfast service was ok... But, I got to warn you about Joice... Night bartender has a diva attitude bigger than the world. Crazy considering the bar had 3 customers and the restaurant was completely empty.
